Are you a business looking to publicise your brand during the centennial? Do you want to help create something amazing for Red Deer? Then become a River of Light supporter.

With a range of sponsorship packages, some tied into our River of Light campaign, we want to give all of Red Deer a chance to get involved in the project. With many businesses having grown and developed within the community, this is a chance to give something back to Red Deer whilst centralising your business and brand as essential to city life.

Interested? Then take a look at what we can offer you when you…Become a supporter of the River of Light

Sponsoring the River of Light couldn’t be easier, you can make a donation via our online fundraising platform or you can contact Laura Jennings at to find out the others ways you can contribute.

Dependent on the scale of your contribution we will make sure we give your business publicity prior to the event online, through social media and the website, and offline through publications and media coverage.  On the 30th June 2013 your business will be seen by thousands of people, as they come together to line the river banks and share in this wonderful celebration for the city.

Red Deer hotels donate rooms to the River of Light campaign

Local Red Deer hotels, Best Western, Howard Johnson Inn, Sandman Hotel and Sheraton Red Deer Hotel have each kindly donated a double room to our River of Light campaign.

Encouraging donors to pledge a specific amount in return for a gift or perk, the campaign has a number of VIP perks that give River of Light attendees a chance to make the event an experience like no other.

By opting for the River of Light retreat donors will now be able to stay in one of the 4 hotels who have donated a room to the campaign, as well as receiving exclusive access to our VIP viewing point for the River of Light on the 30th June 2013.

The support of the hotels is vital, therefore we would like to say a huge thank you to each of them for not only helping create a unique River of Light experience but also helping us towards raising our campaign target of $50,000.

World Water Supporter’s Map

Supporters of the River of Light have had their names and locations placed on the campaigns World Water Supporter’s Map.

World Water Supporters Map

Launched during Canada Water Week (18th – 24th March) and World Water Day (22nd March), the map credits the commitment River of Light donors have made to the project and sustainable water preservation by placing a light on the map.

With the aim of shining a light on river conservation and water preservation by illuminating those people that have made a difference, the map is continuously evolving and growing as more people join the campaign.

International RiverFoundation backs River of Light

International RiverFoundation supporters of River of Light

We are pleased to announce that the International RiverFoundation have joined the list of organisations coming together to support the River of Light.

With the aim of funding and promoting the sustainable restoration and management of river basins, the International RiverFoundation strives to maintain the health and sustainability of the rivers of the world.  The River of Light therefore offers an innovative and accessible way for this renowned organisation to engage and inspire people to take action locally.

As Matthew Reddy, International RiverFoundation CEO states “rivers are quintessentially public spaces and bringing people closer to their river through public art is an inspired concept”.

With discussions already in place for a longer-term partnership between Creatmosphere and the International RiverFoundation, this marks an exciting time for both organisations.

River of Light 2013 – Render of Light Barrels on Water (render credit: Ooopart)

On the 11th March 2013 we launched a crowdfunding campaign for the River of Light: Points of View

With your help we will be able to purchase and transform 500 rain barrels into light barrels.

Once transformed, the light barrels will not only be used to create the River of Light but will be given to the community as part of a legacy for the project and as a commitment to sustainable water preservation.
